The Merrimack’s Annual
Community Photo Contest

If you’ve got a knack for photography, a competitive spirit, and love bringing home some extra cash, you’re going to want to get in on this. Join The Merrimack’s 2024 Community Photo Contest for your shot at being featured in our campaign. Your pictures could be seen by thousands in our upcoming calendar, on our website and more! Winning photos will also win $100 PER accepted image – you read that right, if we love 2, 3, or even 4 of your entries, you’ll be compensated for each!

Imagery Recommendations

Winning images should showcase the unique character and beauty of New Hampshire. Get out there and capture the beauty of your favorite walk, the essence of the local coffee shop, or the simple charm of your hometown. Be original; it’s all about seeing our community through your lens. The Merrimack wants to truly capture what it’s like to live, work, and play in New Hampshire!

Who Can Participate?

The contest is open to photographers of all levels – from amateurs who capture moments on their phones to professionals who haul out big camera equipment. Yes, employees of Merrimack County Savings Bank and our affiliates are eligible to enter.

Judging is blind, so judges are not are allowed to know who the entrants are or anything about them during the review process. Customers, non-customers, and employees have won previously.

Submissions

The contest runs from Monday, April 1, 2024, through Friday, May 31, 2024. Entries must be received by the end of the business day (5 pm EST) on Wednesday, May 31, 2024. Winners will be notified in early August.

There is a limit of 10 photos per artist for submission to the calendar contest and 10 photos per artist for the website contest.

  • If any of your submitted photographs features the face of a child under the age of 18, the child’s parent or legal guardian must complete and sign a Parental Release Form giving us permission to publish a photo of their child in our calendar, website, or any other publication. In order to protect the privacy and safety of children, we cannot consider any photos with children in them without receiving parental consent.

    Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, tiff, png, Max. file size: 50 MB.
    • Please size submitted versions of your photos so they are 2MB or less. PLEASE keep in mind that should you be selected as a winner, we will request original files at no smaller than 3,300 pixels wide and no larger than 100 MB. It’s important that you maintain separate versions of your images in case your image(s) is selected at a much higher resolution than those submitted for judging.

      The Merrimack reserves the right to crop or color correct the winning photo featured in the calendar or on the web. Please do not submit a photo that contains a watermark on the image.
