Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) is proud to be a longtime sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire, the state’s largest breast cancer fundraiser. For the 11th consecutive year, The Merrimack has donated $10,000 and will continue to serve as the Survivor Place Sponsor, a dedicated space for survivors and thrivers to connect during the walk on Sunday, October 25th at Memorial Field in Concord.
“We always look forward to Making Strides and being part of a movement that unites us,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “It’s inspiring to see the waves of pink walking alongside each other in honor of their loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer.”
Making Strides raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer research and provides patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers with access to quality care every step of the journey. Last year, the walk raised more than $400,000 towards the nationwide initiative.
“We’re grateful for The Merrimack’s commitment to the cause, contributing more than $100,000 over the years,” said Nancy Mathis, Senior Development Manager at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of New Hampshire. “This annual event would not be possible without the generosity of our local businesses and organizations.”
Making Strides of New Hampshire amplifies the local passion and resolve in the fight against breast cancer. Together, participants, organizers and volunteers create awareness by supporting survivors, thrivers and their families, while raising money for critical breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society.
