Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) is supporting summer fun at White Birch Center in Henniker with a $10,000 donation. The funds will help secure transportation for field trips, allowing White Birch to extend group outings to more children in its Summer Camp Program.
“The White Birch Center plays a vital role in delivering essential services that address the needs of the community,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “We’re proud to support them and help more children enjoy experiences they might not otherwise have outside of camp.”
Campers enjoy visits to destinations such as state parks, the Seacoast Science Center, Ruggles Mine, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, and many other educational and recreational locations. Currently, White Birch Center’s transportation options accommodate up to 25 passengers, limiting the number of children able to attend field trips together.
“We are incredibly thankful to The Merrimack for their generous support,” said Kelsey Johnstone, Extended Education Program Coordinator at White Birch Center. “This contribution helps expand our Summer Camp field trip opportunities and provides more children with meaningful experiences to explore, learn and create lasting memories.”
