Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) will be hosting a food drive throughout October in partnership with the NH Bankers Association. During the #NHBanksGiveBack statewide month of service, The Merrimack will be collecting food items that are in high-demand to help stock the shelves at eight local food pantries.
“We’re honored to team up with NH Bankers to highlight the ongoing support New Hampshire banks provide to the communities we serve,” said Linda Lorden, President of The Merrimack. “Giving back to our neighbors is who we are, and helping feed those in need a simple act that can make a big difference.”
All of The Merrimack’s nine locations will be collecting the following protein-rich foods:
- Dried or canned beans (chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, etc.)
- Dried or canned lentils
- Canned tuna or other canned fish
- Canned chicken
- Peanut and other nut butters
- Mixed nuts
“New Hampshire’s banks remain deeply committed to strengthening our communities — not just through financial contributions, but through countless hours of volunteer service. This month of giving showcases what has long been a core value of our industry: a steadfast dedication to supporting local nonprofits and civic organizations,” said Kristy Merrill, President/CEO of NH Bankers.
