Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack) introduces Ezra as the winner of it 4th Annual Dog Days of Summer contest. Out of the top five finalists, the 2-year-old Boxer received the most “likes” on Instagram, earning the $500 cash prize and a $500 donation to their local animal rescue nonprofit of choice, Old Dogs Go To Helen Senior and Hospice Sanctuary.
“We would like to thank everyone who voted, especially our friends in the dog community all around the world,” said Alana Bernard, Ezra’s Owner. “It’s nice to win, but great to be able to give back to Helen, who goes above and beyond to care for senior, hospice and special needs dogs.”
“We’re so grateful to Alana for selecting us to share the spotlight alongside Ezra,” said Helen St. Pierre, Owner and Founder of Old Dogs Go To Helen. “This donation will help us pay for vet visits, medications, food and more.”
To enter, participants shared photographs of their pet(s) wearing The Merrimack’s branded bandana. After a round of internal voting, the top five went up for public vote on The Merrimack’s official Instagram page (@merrimackstyle). Each vote helped campaign for a local animal rescue to receive a matching donation.
