Peter Thompson is the first representative of a financial institution in all of New England to achieve the CGP designation from the National Association of Home Builders. CGP recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction. Class work leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, offering environmentally sound solutions to the home building industry. Thompson’s understanding of the principles of the National Green Building standards and the inherent financial benefits of building a more energy efficient home make him uniquely qualified to assist homeowners and builders obtain proper finance for “green” projects.
Thompson’s CAPS designation identifies him as having the skills and knowledge required to remodel or modify a home to meet the unique needs of the older population, disabled owners or their visitors. Thompson has been a residential mortgage lender and construction lender specialist for more than 30 years. He is a member of the Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of Realtors, the Greater Manchester Home Builders Association, and the National Home Builders Association and is a charter member of the Build Green Council. He resides in Sanbornton with his family.
